2011-2026 6.7 Powerstroke Tig Welded Crankshaft Gear Procedure

 

*ATTENTION* CRANK GEAR MUST BE IN TIME AND NOT SLIPPED. IF TIMING IS OFF YOU NEED A NEW CRANKSHAFT AND/OR POSSIBLY AN ENGINE*.

Procedure Includes:

-Removal of front engine cover.

-Crankshaft is then cleaned and the gear is checked for cracked or missing teeth, then the gear is tig welded into place.

-The front cover is reinstalled with new gaskets, and front main seal.

-Engine oil and filter is changed with Schaeffer's full synthetic 5w40 diesel oil and a Ford FL2124s oil filter.

-We would also recommend an upgraded CCV box or reroute kit, and a CPX OR DCR upgraded fuel pump for the maximum longevity of your engine.

 

**Always run Ford recommended engine oil viscosity in all 6.7 model years!**
